Ultra Filters

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a membrane filtration process similar to Reverse Osmosis, using hydrostatic pressure to force water through a semi-permeable membrane.

Benefits of an Ultra Filter:

∙ effective at treating submicron particulate and tannins

∙ effective at treating endotoxins, microplastics, proteins, silica, silt, smog, viruses, etc.

∙ No need for chemicals (coagulants, flocculates, disinfectants, pH adjustment)

∙ Size-exclusion filtration as opposed to media depth filtration

🛈 Applications:

  • ➤ Greywater and rainwater use, catchment, and recycling
  • ➤ Tannin removal
  • ➤ Ro pre-filter
  • ➤ polishing post-filter filtration
  • ➤ colloid removal
  • ➤ bacteria, cyst, and virus removal

🛈 specifications:

  • ➤ filtration level: 0.02 micron
  • ➤ operating temp: 35-100 °F
  • ➤ Operating Pressure: 10-100 psi
  • ➤ continuous flow rate: 10 gpm
  • ➤ the system povides a treated flow of up to 12 gpm and 60 psi
  • ➤ membrane is nsf 61 certified
  • ➤ raw water specifications:
         pre-filtration: 5 microns or less
chlorine: 1.0 ppm max for continuous flow (up to 2000 ppm for cleaning only)
         Iron: less than 0.30 ppm
         manganese: Less than 0.05 ppm
silt density index: Less than 6.0
