It's not uncommon for us to install filtration in spaces where utilities and various equipment need to be accessible despite size limitations of said spaces. This customer's arrangement was a compromise, as they elected to have the neutralizer installed next to the water heater, which would need to be moved when the water heater needs to be replaced. The water softener and brine tank were arranged to give unrestricted access to the other systems, and the customer was very happy with the use of space.

In this setup, the customer routinely flushes and cleans the preexisting spin-down sediment filter and we made sure the tanks allowed for this to be done with ease. We plumbed its drain line to tie into our equipment's drain line for ease of flushing.
